HMAS CANBERRA commissioning

Post by RussF172 »

NUSHIP CANBERRA will sail from Melbourne next week enroute to Sydney. She will commission into the fleet and become HMAS CANBERRA on Friday the 28th of November at Fleet Base East, Sydney. She will then begin more trials including First of Class Flight Trials with Army and Navy Helos and amphibious operations trials with her LCM-E craft. Many months of trials lay ahead of her and many weeks of training for her mixed Navy, Army and Air Force crew. A tour is organised of her for TF72 members next year once things settle down for her.
