I have just read that the Spanish navy is to deploy it's 5th F100 frigate. Cristobal Colon will deploy to Australia for 4 months to work up Hobart in late Feb next year.

Yes, the Spanish are keen to emphasise the Navy to Navy contacts and the support Spain is giving to the ship building program.
While they were disappointed that Navantia didn't get shortlisted for the OPV contest, they are very determined to get the F100 derivative up as a FFG / Anzac replacement, hence the hard work in proving they are a valued supplier.
Canberra & Adelaide
Hobart, Perth & Brisbane
Stalwart & Supply (and possibly Sirius/Success later if money permits) and potentially 8-10 additional ASW F100 variants, not a bad haul for Navantia and Spanish industry.
