The reason Austal & Leurssen couldn't cooperate on the OPV project

The reason Austal could not come to agreement to work with Leurssen to build the RAN's OPVs has become apparent in recent days.
The two company's are competitors in at least one major contract to supply OPVs to the Philippines Navy, and neither wanted anything to do with the other, let alone passing on trade secrets between companies.
