For those who have not been to Penrith, we run from the pontoons on the warm up lake. These are very handy floating only about 100mm above water level. If it is a windy day, we can either run in calm water provided by the lee of the pontoons or out in the rougher stuff.
A good turn out with over 10 members. That many is rare for Sydney these days I’m afraid.
As with the week before, a mixture of scales from a 1/12th RAF Tender, 1/20th Elco, various 1/35th/1/32nd models, 1/24th and of course 1/72 scale.
The wind was up at times which made for some fun sailing especially the non 1/72 scale models which all tended to be faster naval coastal craft and more spectacular to watch rather than slower frigates.
