FBGS Run Penrith Lakes 16th October 2016 Part 2

Post by MichaelB »

At Penrith we had a few non 1/72 scale models. If you only like 1/72, you can stop reading now.

Dave Pearce was there with his newly refitted PT109 now running 3 of John Darke’s motors. If you think that is fast, think again as he wasn’t actually game to go flat out.

My Brave is also Darke powered and seems to love waves.

Rob Corner’s Vopser Fire Tender sports the biggest brushless motor I have seen and howls along.

My three little plastics all run the same brushless set up but perform differently although all are fast. The Vosper HSL had been detuned by dropping to only a 21mm prop but still outran its half sisters which run 25mm props. That says a lot about Vosper’s hull designs.

As before, photos by Dave Pearce unless otherwise noted
