A good start to what was originally going to be Penrith Lakes Model Clubs’ day which was cancelled as they had nobody left to organise it. Anyway, we turned up, another model boat club turned up, the Seaplanes/Floatplanes were there as were the RC cars. Very little Joe Public as there was no advertising of the day.
Superb weather with a few clouds coming over and little wind. A good mix of models with a WW2 cruise by a couple of Flowers escorted by Arunta and a rescue tug. Later on a mixed bag adding to the cruise with a pair of Armidales and a Japanese PT boat. The last three occasionally having a fun burst of speed to break up the monotony of trying to go along at the slowest flower’s maximum speed which was slower than our slowest speed.
The photos below are for 1/72 and were by Dave Pearce (DP), Karen Pearce (KP), Robyn Brown (RRB) or me (MB)
Have you spotted the duck fan that seems to follow Dave Pearce around around? Look at the Fleet Manouvres at Wentworth Falls!
