Thanks for the photos and commentary Mr Pew. Our display was most impressive and during the time I was there the public were asking lots of questions and passing on many compliments. Always takes me a day or two to get over the number of railway displays and memorabilia. Might have to get my kids train set out from under the house...maybe.

Re: Our Town Model Display
Thanks for the gallery of photos of the weekend Craig, but you did miss out on a display that turns up & gives me, at least, a great deal of pleasure
every year & here are some photos that I took. I don't think that you could classify them as 'dolls houses', but I would call them 'delicious domestic
dioramas', maybe they appeal to my suppressed inner female !!! but they always make me smile. I recall I did happen to make the mistake of asking
a question of one of the display ladies a couple of years ago ! sometimes it's a bonus to have hearing aids that can be switched orf !
And speaking of bargain trains, I did acquire a new steam loco at a very pleasant price. A BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 for those who know about these things, & also a beautifully bashed about & weathered BHP ore wagon for $5.
Allan.
