Sailing Day - Fleet Base Perth
Posted: 23 Oct 2018 23:36
Sunday's sailing day started as the recent sail days, with indifferent weather. Normally by the middle of October in Perth, we are sweating at the lakeside, dodging the flies and sailing our boats, lakeside in the shade. However the last few weeks have been jackets and jumpers still.
Present on Sunday were Andrew (Tromp), Pete (HMAS Darwin), Glen (Liberty Ship) and Bob but the rain held off and not much wind allowed some good sailing before the rain got heavier later in the morning.
All of us here at Fleet Base Perth are preparing for the Fremantle Maritime Festival this coming weekend , which is also our largest display of the year and also a rewarding one. The weather is also promising to be fine and sunny.
