Task Force 72

Hi All,

I have created this topic so members can post comments and photos about and from the upcoming National Regatta at Naracoorte.

I will also create a photo album in the Photos and Videos sections so bulk photos can also be loaded so members not able to attend can at least see the action.

Here are some of my pixs from Saturday's sailing, I seem to have lost a heap that I took of some of the ships on display no idea what happened there!!

Also Richard got some good pix with my camera during the drive by......I mean fleet review!! I just need to resize them first

Sorry nothing closeup ! myself and Richard were out on the central jetty for the whole review it was like waiting for a car crash to happen....

I hope all survived on USS Cheyenne.

With regards to the sunken USS Cheyenne, when HMS Triumph went down to investigate it also ran foul of radio interference in the vicinity. I had the video operating and recorded the Triumph severely twitching the hydroplanes and rudder and the speed control went into reverse when it got close to the Cheyenne. The Triumph also found another dodgy spot in the North West area of the lake, again on the bottom - last year and the same place again this year.
Fortunately for the USS Cheyenne the Jolly giant came in and rescued her, and was soon in action again.

He was a bit nervous at first but got a real kick out of operating USS California (and was most glad that he did not hit anything!)

Awesome photos guys and looks like you all had a great time with some awesome models on the water. Couldn't make it this year but hope to over for next years regatta. You guys definitely have some superb sailing venues. Wish we had the same over here.
