Task Force 72

G'day All, Went over to Kangaroo Island for Xmas. Got to hang out with Dad, drive the frontend loader abit clearing some trees....luckily Dad's place was not effected by the ongoing fire at the Western end of the Rock, although the other fire that was closer (about 8km) was of great concern on Dec20 until a wind change turned it back on itself. Dad was home by himself (which is rare) as my Sister and her Hubby had come over to Adelaide in the morning completely unaware of the fires till about 5.45 that night! Then franticly trying to find out if Dad is aware of the fire (he doesn't have mobile and they had told him not to answer the home phone due to a heap of scam calls lately!) Luckily we have a great bunch of neighbours and they checked to make sure he was ok. I got over there early ferry on the 21st and found things had calmed down at our end of the Rock.

Took over DDG53 for a run if the tide and winds look good, managed to get a short run in but seaweed was a bit of a problem nd wind picked up abit so I cut the run short got a handful of picks and some bad video...also took my 1/16 M1A1 rc tank over and had a play with it in the dirt....
