Canberra Show

Post by ozpirate »

Hiya all well finally got back from Tumut today and also uploaded all my images. For my part the Canberra show was a real eye opener with many great modelers with their models to show. I started with the old sail ships and here were some real eye openers. Guess pitty no scale 1/72 but still... I have only one comment - Sausage ships. What do I mean with this, How many HMS Victories were there. Even though everyone that is making this model is doing their best you can't help but look at the previous one and the next one. They were all great models anyway.
Next I went into the room which held the TF72 group and the ACT Plastic Model Club. I went a bit crazy taking as many pictures as possible. You guys put on a great display.
If you guys don't mind me saying and I must admit I also sometimes forget myself to do, Clean your models of cobwebs first before you display them, unless they work for radars and antennas.
Anyway here are some pictures and more can be found here.

Very nice coverage Mick. Agree with you fully on the VICTORY (and ENDEAVOUR, BOUNTY etc) issue. Re the cobwebs are you hinting that Pewie and other crusties like me need new glasses?

Cheers

Ahh, I didn't see it myself until I opened the pictures and had a close up look. As I also said I will forget to clean my display ship until its to late.
