For anyone building a US Carrier

The US Navy has determined that they will replace the increasingly aged C-2A Greyhound carrier on-board delivery aircraft with Osprey tilt-rotors.
Grumman had offered an updated Greyhound using the same engines and updated flight deck and avionics as the HE-2C Hawkeye 2000 currently in service.
The first deliveries of an initial buy of 12 aircraft will take place from Fiscal Year 2018 and will be designated HV-22, subject of course to the Senate and Congress actually signing up to appropriate the money. Probably likely to happen as the Osprey has a lot of support on Capital Hill.
This will be the first US Navy Ospreys, currently the Osprey is a Marine Corps asset.
