Hi all R/C Sub enthusiasts,

It's back!! With the success of our inaugural Central Coast Sub Regatta in June 2011, the Triple ā€œSā€ Model Boat Group is making this a regular, biennial event held in odd years to complement the ACT Sub Regatta in even years.

We invite all model submarine enthusiasts to join us for a great weekend of sailing and friendship, now held on the long weekend in October to take advantage of the warmer weather. The Sub Regatta will again be held at the Gosford Olympic Pool on beautiful Brisbane Waters.

The flyer with registration form is available at http://triple-s.org.au/2013_SubRegatta_flyer.pdf

We look forward to having a great weekend with you!

Thanks Scott

we should have a good turn out going by accommodation bookings thus far. Had to be fast on the accommodation front as its a pretty popular spot for the long weekend.

Yes - new boats going this year. I'm expecting a lot of new 1/72 Skipjacks, Kilo's and Victoria classes to make appearances. In fact probably have more 1/72 subs this time than ever before.

What a great spread of photos. I particularly liked the WW1 submarine (AE1??? I'm not too good on sub recognition), it had lots of interesting detail for one's eye to linger on. The other outstanding one was the Disney Nautilus.

Something like that needs to be fitted with a 24v brushless motor and photographed at extreme speed, ramming into a (very lightly constructed) target wooden frigate, like in the movie.

One day I will have to build my K Boat.
cheers
Kim
