Task Force 72

Just announced: The Canadian Government has chosen the BAE Systems/Lockheed Martin TYPE 26 Global Combat ship as it preferred design for the construction of 15 new Guided Missile Frigates. They will begin construction in the early 2020's and will replace the Halifax (City) Class FFG and the Huron Class DDHs. Still some hoops to jump through first however so far that will make 30 versions of this FFG being constructed. They beat out a version of the Damen Group De Zeven Provincien Class Frigate and Navantia with a version of the F-105 Class Frigate.
