The sail day on 7 May turned out well, even though it was cool with a couple of light showers. The water level was high, so most of the weeds were below the surface and no issues with wind and waves.
There were not too many of the larger ships on the water although some were on display.
Ed's 'Marshall Soult' is advancing very nicely and it won't be too long before some paint may be applied.
We also inspected some alternative available sailing area options at the lake for when we get unfavourable conditions, and a good location was found.
The most fun that was had on the day was when we had a flotilla of Flower class corvettes on the water.
Those that were there enjoyed the day.
Some of the photographs are attached.
We also produced a few videos.
These are:
- John Schmidt's 1/72 Fletcher Class USS Hart from the camera on USS Shiloh

- My 1/96 USS Bulkeley and USS Shiloh from the ship and shore (something different).
