Dumb question,
What's the preferred method of sealing around hull openings - i.e. prop shafts, rudder posts, A brackets?
Bog, or resin and fibreglass?
Many thanks

Re: Bog or resin & fibreglass
Personally I use the auto bog with glass fibre in it around shafts, A frames and rudder posts/blocks. Lately I put some flocoat or resin over the top...

I'm similar. I use an auto bog for setting the shafts in place then lay chop strand mat and resin over it once all looks good.

Re: Bog or resin & fibreglass
I use the fibre bog as it is waterproof unlike normal car bog. I still resin and chop strand over the bog though.
One day I will finish a ship.

Re: Bog or resin & fibreglass
Thanks for all the help, much appreciated, bog with resin over the top sounds like a good plan. Hopefully finally get some of these builds going again.
