After accompanying the RN Carrier Strike Group for most of their deployment, USS The Sullivan's broke off from CSG21 and headed home.
The video is here, showing how fast a Burke can go when they open her up as she passes up the carrier group in line astern.

Another short video of her departing the group with Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" blaring out. What a bow wave This is the term of "Four burning, Two turning". I had a video once that was given to me by Bath Iron Works of her launch which was conducted by five young ladies who were all relatives of the five Sullivan brothers who were lost when their ship USS JUNEAU was sunk on November 13, 1942. Never again would that many brothers be allowed to serve in the same ship or outfit to prevent this tragedy from happening again. The ships sponsor is the grand-daughter of Albert Sullivan, the eldest brother. An amazing history to this ship.

I saw that HMS QE lost an F-35 yesterday in the Med. Pilot ejected safely and picked up. Can't afford to loose too many of those with not too many to spare.

I would not be surprised if the RN makes a salvage attempt, either that or place a demo charge and blow it to smithereens so the Russians can't try and salvage any of her tech.
That's what the Japanese did with one of theirs that went down in the waters between Japan and Kamchatka.
