We had an extremely successful day yesterday with masses of people wandering past from the AWD families day on the oval alongside the pond. There is a good chance that we will be able to put a display on at the AWD shipyards on their next open day!
The lads brought as many models as possible and we setup a triplet of 3m gazebos and a good day was had by all.
3 ships took to the water for the first time Scott's carrier hull, Jim's Missouri hull and my USS California hull (only California was under her own power). Full Mission report to follow.

On Display: 1 AWD hull, 1 sml carrier, a Spruance class (Fife), 2 FFG's (Adelaide and Sydney), a BB hull (Mo),1 CGN hull (California), 1 LCH, 3 Destroyers, 4 Corvette's (1 Bathurst and 3 Flower) and about 4 subs. Moored on the pond: 1 FFG (Darwin), 1 LCS hull, 1 DDG (Scott), 1 CGN (Long Beach), 1 research ship and 1 US river Tug & barge!!!

Bruce, had a awesome day! great weather( it's raining today in Adelaide) great to see so many people enjoying our hobby. It was a great feeling to do a water test on garibaldi and to see others with their new projects out too. Looking forward to AWD Shipyard have Task Force 72 as a display. Well done Gulf Waters for putting on our best show yet. Scott
