Hi All , FBGW put on a Static Display at Mannum , on the Murray River , upstream from Murray Bridge , yesterday , Sunday 7th . The event was called " Game Obsession Expo " with the focus on all things Game , Obsession , Hobby & Interest related , with those invited , being either individuals or groups displaying or selling related goods. Myself , Vince Warner & Kevin attended , with us arriving just before the gated were due to open at 7.00am to allow the display / stall holders to get their goods set up. The lack of warmth made things challenging to say the least with the outside temperature sitting at only 2C & trying to erect 6m x 3m Gazebo's etc. Once the sun came up & the cloud disappeared it was a very pleasant day, apart from the occasional gust of wind.
The event was well attended by the local community and visitors from afar , to which we were shown a lot of interest , especially when those viewing our display were informed that the models on display were actual working vessels , not just for sitting on the shelf to collect dust

Whether there will be any future events will only occur if the Mannum Show Society , who organised the event , get a positive outcome from the day , mainly financially , to see if is viable to continue. It would have been good had we been able to have a small pond to put the ships
in to show . This may be possible if the event is to go ahead in future years . Otherwise , a good day
