G'day all,
My name is Mark and whilst researching my father's Naval service I came up with the idea of building a model of the ship that he served on,being HMS Cavalier 1944-5.
The idea was to find a reasonable sized plastic kit to assemble, paint and put in a display case that dad could have in his room at the residential care facility.
As all I could find was the spider navy 1/1250 (Caesar) I decided to attempt a 1/72 scale model and so here I am.
I have sent off my membership application for the club after taking dad out to Bonython Park to see what it was all about.
Anyhow I have just received 4 plan sheets from Cornwall model boats and have had them blown up to 1/72 scale as they were 1/192.
I have no experience what so ever in either radio control or building a model ship this size,so I have a million questions that I won't ask on a first post,I'll leave it as an introduction for self.
Cheers,Mark.
