HMAS Napier was one of 5 N-class destroyers transferred to the RAN in the early 1940s.
She operated with the Mediterranean Fleet until the start of 1942. She was then transferred to the East and served with the BPF at the end of the war.

She (J232) was commissioned in 1941. In January 1942 she evaded an attack by the Japanese submarine I-124 and was jointly credited with the submarines' sinking after she inflicted the initial damage.

Lovely shot Michael, rare as too.
Apparently the tests showed the Blue Grey was by far the most effective, but the then Chief of Navy was reported to have said that the RAN would not be painting their ships blue on his watch and killed it.
Having repeatedly watched Fremantle sail in and out of Sydney Harbour in Grey Blue I can attest that it was FAR harder to see than Storm Grey or Haze Grey.
