Fleet Base Greater Sydney - Wentworth Falls - 29 May 2022

Here are some photos from today's run at Wentworth Falls.
As is always the case at a TF72 running day we had an interesting mix of 1:72 scale vessels that included:
- A WW1 RAN destroyer;
- A WW2 German Type IX U-Boat;
- A Cold War era USSR antisubmarine frigate;
- A RN offshore patrol vessel; and
- A US Coast Guard cutter.
Unfortunately I was too busy driving my own ship to get photos of everything, but here are a few. The models in these photos belong to Phil, Martin and myself.
The day was beautifully sunny, if a little cold and windy. Without question the highlight of the day was Martin's Type IX U-Boat staging a little spectacle all of her own. I won't spoil the story (you'll have to wait for Phil's next Clear Lower deck report) but let's just say that the "Human Recovery Vehicle" title bestowed on me by Allan Pew some years ago has been re-claimed!!
