2012 Club Running Days???

Hi All
I know that we currently have the "Events" page out of action, and no webmaster at the helm, but was wondering for the large events in 2012 if someone could please post in the forum here a guide to perhaps the key 2012 events.

The combined Navy Arvo / Task Force 72 sail will again be held on the 3rd (1st Saturday in) March from 11am.

FLEET BASE VICTORIA will be be conducting running days on the first Sunday of each month commencing at 9am at Albert Park Lake.

The dates for the first 5 months of 2012 are:
1/1/2012
5/2/2012
4/3/2012 (March is pending accessibility with setup for the 2012 F1 Grand Prix)
1/4/2012
6/5/2012

The location is "Swan Picnic Area" and is located next to the Albert Sailing Club behind the new Bob Jane Stadium in Aquatic Drive. There is a trailer parking area between the sailing club and our location for unloading of models and ample parking area in Aquatic drive or Albert Road Drive for vehicles. A Gazebo, BBQ and amenities are located within the "Swan Picnic Area" and a cafe and restaurant just along from us in Aquatic Drive.

THE queen,s birthday long weekend in June and the 6th and the 7th of October annual regatta.The carrier and escorts weekend will be on the the Queens birthday long weekend and we know that not everybody can make it to both functions but you will be made welcome if you came.

Thanks Michael for the heads up. But does this mean the TF72 members of Sydney have only 2 runs this year or will more be posted later? The calendar above is for the whole year.
I guess the run on Wentworth Falls on Saturday 28th January is just the start of the year and the run at the Hubertus Model Boat Club on the 3rd of March also.

Is anything happening with Port Macquarrie Model Show or the show(s) at Newcastle? There are people that would like to know what is happening throughout the year. Makes for easy planning of trips away.

Mick,

All runs have to be pre-approved by the Committee to be official & covered by our insurance. Victoria etc know their running days as they run regularly at the same sites, other events are preset. Sydney Hunter run at various locations & times normally after discussing with the members. We need sufficient to say they are turning up before going through the various hoops for Manly Dam etc. to get permission to run at the venues.

We do not at this stage have any correspondence in regarding the Newcastle Show or Port MacQaurie.

Hubertus has not gone to the Committee for approval & is not yet a sanctioned run. The paperwork has just been received and needs to be approved by the committee & submitted to Hubertus.

They may actually be a run here on Australia Day as I've just been advised of a potential invite for the club.
