Veterans Day Display 12 Nov 2017

It's early days and I know it is just under 12 months away, but I have been asked by a friend about providing some models for a display at a new event for service people and veterans. It is being held on Sunday the 12th of November at Dunbar Park at Avalon on the Northern Beaches of Sydney from 10am until 4pm. There are still details to be worked out but I think this would be a great day and a very special one for the club to be involved in. One of the organisers is a wonderful young woman who just last week lost her father Commodore Graham Sloper, AM, RAN after a long fight with cancer. He was the CO of HMAS SUCCESS during the first Gulf War. Tamara is also an RAN Veteran having served in Timor which she still has a strong affiliation with several aid organisations helping young East Timorese women.

I hope we can support these guys with lots of models for display. There will be lots of other displays on show including army vehicles, helicopters etc. Please let me know if you would like to participate is this very worth while display. Just register your interest here under this post. Cheers.

Yeah, Tamara's an old friend, we served together in Naval Support Command and elsewhere, plus her dad was a good guy.
