Sail Day Fleet Base Perth & BBQ

Post by SergeSera »

Good Evening All,
The Fleet base - Perth report on today's sail day.

Weather conditions - overcast with occasional flashes of sun.
Wind average speed 7km/h gusting to 16 km/h coming from the SSW, how do I know I purchased an Anemometer which gives us a wind speed unusually it did not affect the surface water it was near flat - great for us.

In attendance were HMAS Toowoomba Skipper Nige , JMSDF Osumi - Skipper Andrew, HMAS Darwin - Skipper Peter, Peter the Great Skipper Rob, and HMS Ardent - Skipper Me (Serge).

It was a great day sail, like I said the conditions were fantastic, we spent the morning sailing and meandering around the lake - nothing to frenzied or organised - just enjoyed each others company and the sailing.

Yesterday Saturday some of us (Rob, Andrew, Nige, Graeme and Me) trooped over to Peter P's home to assist with the hull turning and ballasting trials for Peter's USS Constellation, he even fed us a very nice BBQ

Thanks Tracey for the logistic support.

Next week Fleet base Perth will be attending the Fremantle Maritime day, for us here in the West this event is major highlight of our year, we are all looking forward to the day.

Enjoy the photos

Cheers

Serge
