In conjunction with the Lake Illawong Model Boats club and TF72 Fleet Base Victoria - RC boats were represented at the 13th year of the Sandown Train & Hobby Show. There were plenty of impressive Model Railway layouts, RC Model Aircraft, futuristic Drone Racing, RC Drift cars, RC Armoured vehicles and a few other groups represented as well.
Several thousand people attended the show over the 3 days and there was plenty of noise, lights and action.
Many thanks to the Lake Illawong Model Boats club members and in particular Rosey Kendall who organised it.
For TF72 - Chris Thorn, Merv Atcheson and Jeff Brown participated on all three days with several ships. Gary Reid, Jason Plumridge and I also participated and displayed our ships.
A pond was also erected to demonstrate our ships, but unfortunately it suffered a few leaks, so had restricted use due to the decreasing depth even with some partial top-ups.
