West Lakes Howler!!

Post by BsHvyCgn9 »

We had planned 2 sail at West Lakes today due 2 Rymil having low water level ( they haven't refilled after the Equestrian trials held last weekend, although they did pull the 2 horse jumps out). However mother nature is a fickle B...lady and whipped up 20-25knot southerly causing a reasonable imitation of the Southern Ocean ( picture the Terry Bolymoor (however his name is spelt) rescue footage and you get the idea) Seas looked 2 be in the 6 to 8 inch range!! with white caps and long rolling swells.
I should have got a picture!! We waited for nearly everyone 2 roll up then proceeded 2 Richee's place for Coffee & a yack.
Not quite the day we had planned, Warner was all set 2 test run HMS Hood if the weather had been nicer....except he left the main (car) battery home!! a DOH moment!!

Cheers Bruce :nuke: :nuke:

We all go through those sort of running days.

All part of the experience that is RC model boating.

Yup it turns out that there was some sort of music festival on at Rymil Park today so even if water level had been high e'nuff we might have had trouble getting access 2 the lake for setup and pack up.
