Images of that Russian frigate post fire. The superstructure basically melted / caved in on itself.

They are saying 5 years to rebuild her, they'd probably be better off starting a new ship.

The Provorny corvette can be fully restored after fire in 2026, a shipbuilding source told TASS.

TASS Russian news agency

“It will take at least five years to restore the Provorny,” he said.

The final conclusions will be made by the United Shipbuilding Corporation and Severnaya Verf Shipyard, he added.

The source told TASS:
“The main issue is the state of cables after fire. If they are in a proper state, it is possible to overhaul the corvette in five years. If they have to be replaced, the warship has to be actually built anew,”

The construction of the superstructure for the Provorny may take three years. “At least a year will pass since the reception of the superstructure to the float. The final construction and factory running trials will take the same time,” he said.

The Provorny caught fire on December 17. The hull was not damaged, but the superstructure has to be pulled down.

The Provorny of project 20385 was laid in 2013 and had to join the Navy in late 2022. The Severnaya Verf Shipyard is also building the Gremyashchy corvette. The source estimated that the Russian Navy needs 18 corvettes of projects 20385 and 20386.
