Modern RN stanchions

Post by MichaelB »

Some photos for anyone building modern RN vessels. Their stanchions vary from 3 bar asymetrical collapsible ones or 3 bar asymetricl solid tube ones. Sometimes 2 bar collapsible are carried. The older ones had a “ball” on the top of them but the Darings carry a modern version which is flat like photo etch stanchions you can by.

OPVs carry 3 bar symetrical stanchions which appear to be solid. No idea why they are different. :o

The moral as always is find photos of the vessel you are modelling to ascertain which sort it carried at the specific time you are building.
