Nice image Mike.
I believe this is/was the only Kilo fitted with a Pumpjet, so a rare image indeed.

A Vanguard class ballistic missile submarine heading up the Clyde on 11 June on completion of another patrol.

Name ship of the class, HMS Vanguard, has still not emerged from her long over-running refit in Devonport, placing additional strain on the maintenance cycle of the 3 active boats,

The Russian Project 636.3 submarine Rostov-on-Don (NATO code name Kilo class) and a large landing ship, named the Minsk, were damaged in the pre-dawn barrage on the Sevastopol shipyard – potentially the largest strike against a Russian naval base of the war.

According to the state-run Ria Novosti news agency, the Russian defense ministry said both vessels had minimal damage following the Ukrainian attack and will continue in normal service.

Leaked pictures however showed the destroyed Russian submarine with massive hull breaches and signs of internal burning.

I can't see this Kilo class ever going back to sea.
