From the BBC just now..
Ten sailors are missing and five injured after a US destroyer collided with an oil tanker off the coast of Singapore, the US Navy says.The USS John McCain was sailing east of Singapore and preparing to stop in the port when it struck the Liberian-flagged vessel.
What the hell is happening in the US Navy? Are they all just asleep or on drugs? I didn't think there was any excuse for the recent collision, but SURELY you would think more care was being taken now. Apparently not.
Shall await the court martial on this one with much interest.

Congress just passed their latest proposed budget for defence, it still has a long way to go before it's compete and law, but it includes almost US$700M for repairs to the USS Fitzgerald and USS John S. McCain.
