15th May GinGin 2011 display - FBP

Guys, as discussed on Sunday, on the 3rd Sunday of April (17th) if you can bring along the tables and we will separate them into the cars of Glen and Hilary as previously discussed.

Travelling to the display, members will have the following
Hillary - tables, stakes for bunting
Glen - Tables
Andrew - Banner
Robert - Marque

The display is on Sunday 15th May from 9am (8am setup) to 4pm so remember to bring,
A Chair
Food if you want, although there is plenty to choose from there.
Sunscreen

Andrew and I found last year that it is pretty cold and the water freezing in the morning, but it warms up nicely during the day. It takes about 30-40mins from Joondalup to get there and I have attached a Google Earth link for you, just double click on this (have google earth installed) and it will take you to the site where our marquee will be on the day. As it is a slow running stream, it is weed free and clear water, but not that deep, i.e. a yacht ran aground last year in the middle of the stream.

Guys on the Sunday 15th May Fleet Base Perth had it's first display and what a successful day it was. It was held in conjunction with the Australian Model Ship Society which is open to all boats aslong as they are not of combustion engine, so their was always a yatch, a tug or a warship on the water with a constant crowd of on lookers.

Apparently there was a car show also...
