It was a very complex system for launching missiles. Nearly as complex as our IKARA. They did a demo of how it loaded whilst alongside in Pearl in 1982 at RIMPAC. No wonder they changed them and ended up rebuilding the HURON Class DDHs with VLS and a 76mm OTO MELERA gun.
