Arleigh Burke Info Needed

Post by sundownernz »

Hi all,

I'm in the process of building an AB destroyer, Truxtun and am short of a bit of detail info. The plans I have are lacking some detail, especially on the bridge wing equipment and the flag locker area behind the bridge, under the mast. I have a good collection of detail photos but the bridge wings and flag locker area is always obscured by structures like the mast supports, fwd funnel structure etc.

Can anyone let me have either some photos of these areas or some detailed drawings of these areas please.

Many thanks,
Garry.

Hi Gary,

quite happy to get some photos of CHURCHILL around those area for you if that will be a help? I don't think the later ones have changed too much around those areas

Cheers,

Russ

Hi Russ,

That would be awesome if you could. As others may have a similar issue it would be great if you could post them in this topic and I (and any others) can download them from here.

Many thanks Russ,
Garry.

I agree, I'm in the same situation Russ, don't have much detail of what is around the flagbin area, i.e. what the bridge superstructure looks like in front of them, or underneath them.

Cheers

No worries guys. I'll get some photos for you of those areas to try and clear it up a little.

Hi Guys,

sorry for the delay. Going flat out as usual. Had a great Xmas and New Year and back into it again. I've attached a few photos of the bridge wings of CHURCHILL over in the Projects Section under CHURCHILL Refit. Couldn't see how to add photos to this part of the forum even though I'm sure you can somehow. There are usually slight differences between each ship, but the layout should be roughly the same for all the Flight 2A ABs. If you need anything closer up, just give me a yell.

Cheers.

Hi Russ,

I know the feeling. Far too much to do and so little time to do it in.

Many thanks for posting those pics in the projects section. They clear up a lot of missing detail on the bridge wings. The main part I need info or pics of is the flag locker area under the mast at the rear of the bridge area. This area is pretty hard to get details on as all the photo's on line of that area are from the side or quarter and the detail is blocked out by those huge flag lockers. If you could post some pics of that area also that would be awesome.

Churchill is a stunning model and you must be proud of her. I hope I can get my AB to a similar standard but I live in hope.

Many thanks,
Garry.
