Ships in Attendance: This year we had some 30 models including the following on static display: HMAS VAMPIRE II (Post Mod.) A6 is British while A16 is in German colours – the original having been scuttled and recovered by the Germans. RFS FRUNZE (1/350), TAIZHOU (1/200), Oceanographic Submarine, Clyde Puffer (1/72) also ran.

Members in Attendance: Tony Page, David Peterson, Peter Cole, Bob Murdoch, Doug Bain, Alex Goodieson along with ACTMBC Members Trish Price, Erris Kennedy, Johnno Mainwaring.

Event Actions:   This annual event is held at the Malkara Special School at Hughes in Canberra on the first weekend in August. ACTMBC is the lead organisation as we use the schools’ pool which is a bit small for many of TF72 models so other scales, particularly 1/200 and 1/350 predominate. We have both static and running displays. It is a two day show and our activities in the pool are very popular especially with the younger set while their elders love to ponder the static display.
