Task Force 72 – Fleet Base Wagga Wagga consists of a small group of members who enjoy building and sailing their 1:72nd scale model ships. Most members live in Wagga Wagga although a couple come from a little further afield and visit regularly. The majority of the models from Fleet Base Wagga Wagga are completely scratch built and represent ships from several countries around the world. The models range in size from some of the smallest to some of the largest within TF72.
Several TF 72 events are conducted each year in Wagga Wagga, from the annual Carrier and Escorts weekend to static displays held in support of other modelling clubs in the area. Throughout the year members of Fleet Base Wagga Wagga often travel to participate in other scheduled TF72 events across the eastern states of Australia.

A few Fleet Base Wagga Wagga members also get together most Sunday mornings for a cuppa and a bit of a chat about model ship building and other world issues.

Fleet Base Wagga Wagga members completed a group build of a model of the HMAS Wagga which is now on display in the Wagga Wagga Council Chambers.
